Upcoming Events

  • The 10th Annual Pilot Research Project Symposium will be held on Oct 1-2, 2009 in Kehoe Auditorium, Department of Environmental Health, Kettering Lab at the University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine.  The Symposium runs Thursday afternoon 1-5 pm and Friday morning 8am-noon with podium and poster research presentations from PRP grant award winners on a variety of occupational health and safety topics. 

    Special presentations will be:

    *Thursday, Oct. 1 at 1 pm – Keynote Speaker John M. Dement, PhD, of Duke University Medical Center, speaking on “COPD among Workers at Department of Energy Sites”

    *Friday, Oct. 2 at 8 am – Keynote Speaker Ronald E. Shaffer, PhD, of National Personal Protective Technology Laboratory (NPPTL), at the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC ), speaking on “Respiratory Protection Against Emerging Hazards: Nanotechnology and H1N1 Flu Virus”

    o    .92 ABIH (IH) CM Point Approval #09-3319

    o    Meets BCSP criteria for continuation of certification credit.

    o    Academic credit is also available for UC students.
