Online Classes

 

Whether you're enrolled in the online Certificate program or the land-based Certificate program, you can choose to take classes online. Most students will be able to complete the Online Certificate in a year (including a summer session). Certificate Curriculum

The Certificate program is a 10 credit hour curriculum that can be completed during our 8-week summer session and/or one academic year.

 

    1. Introduction to Epidemiology (Summer or Fall):   2 credits

    2. Introduction to Biostatistics (Summer or Fall):    3 credits

    3. Ethics in Research (Summer or Spring):               1 credit

    4. Any combination of electives offered by the

        Division of Epidemiology & Biostatistics*            4 credits

*Most Division of Epidemiology and Biostatistics courses count as elective credits including:

  • Survey of Clinical & Translational Research (Summer,1 credit)

  • Successful Scientific Writing (Summer, 1 credit)

  • IRB Process & Protocol (Summer, 1 credit)

  • Community-Based Participatory Research (Summer, 1-3 credits)

  • Study Design & Analysis (Coming soon)

  • Mentored Research (Any semester, 1-3 credits)
