earn a Master of Science in Clinical
Research, trainees must complete the
following: |

A
minimum of 45 graduate credit hours
of coursework; and |
|
|
• |
A
thesis based upon clinical,
laboratory, or field research. |

Credit hours are
accrued by the following: |

credits of didactic coursework |
|
|
• |
Combination of additional electives
and non-thesis research. |
|
Non-thesis research hours
can be taken from research conducted outside
of the trainee’s thesis research.
Thesis or Research Project
A minimum of 3 credits of thesis research is
required. Students may register for thesis
research credits when devoting their time to
their thesis research. Thesis research may
be part of the ongoing work of the thesis
laboratory, but must be separately
identifiable. The thesis research should
reflect advisor guidance but mainly be the
independent work of the student. The
Department of Environmental Health handbook
provides more information on the thesis
requirements.
